Now Playing: New Forms in Contemporary Glass
May 02, 2019 - October 13, 2019United-LeGard Galleries
Exhibit Details
The “drama of discovery” came to define the early days of the Studio Glass movement as artists transitioned the material of glass from functional object to sculptural. Now Playing: New Forms in Contemporary Glass examines where the dramatic element of glassmaking is leading artists working today. Highlighting work from the Chrysler Museum of Art and Perry Glass Studio in Norfolk, VA, this exhibition encourages an expansive view of the process and purpose of making.
Now Playing is organized by the William King Museum of Art in collaboration with the Chrysler Museum of Art and the artists of the Perry Glass Studio.
