Feast explores the relationship between food and art in cultures around the world. This special exhibition draws from the rich resources of VMFA’s permanent collection to demonstrate ways in which food has nourished and inspired mankind through the ages.
Set within the global context Feast explores, At the Table will demonstrate Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee’s material culture of food. From garden to kitchen to table, artisans created tools to prepare and consume food including wooden bowls and fine cast silver.
