Monotype printmaking is a process that involves creating an inky image on a flat surface and gaining an impression on paper from that surface. Monotypes may be painterly or graphic using brushstrokes or stencils. This class will cover black and white reductive drawing monotypes as well as color monotypes. Students will also learn how to mix color, prepare paper, and sign prints.
