A zine is a self-published booklet or pamphlet used to share information inexpensively. Throughout history zines have been used for self expression, discourse, and to share ideas outside mainstream media. Zines are heavily associated with punk and DIY culture, but have been embraced by a variety of people and groups of all ages and walks of life. In this workshop students will browse sample zines and learn techniques for creating their own. In a world of technology overload, the paper zine is a unique, tactile alternative to our digital culture.
LIMITED TO 10 INDIVIDUALS. Masks required. Register online or by phone at 276-628-5005 ext. 112
