God Willing, We’ll See Each Other Again: The Life and Work of William Fields
July 28, 2022 – December 4, 2022
“One day at a time.” This was the advice that William Fields gave to so many. The phrase implies living in the moment and focusing on the time that we have today. Indeed William Fields lived in the moment so wholeheartedly that he was able to capture that moment with such reverence and detail. William Fields was and remains a painter of this region whose emotive works exhibit an extraordinary style. Although Fields’ work reflects memories of his own life, his figures tell a story in which the viewer plays a part. Fields always ended a phone conversation with “God willing, we’ll see each other again.” Indeed, that is what we hope too. Come and celebrate the life and work of William Fields with a retrospective exhibition of his paintings.
