School programs are available for pre-K through 12, both on site at the Abingdon museum and directly in the schools through our VanGogh Outreach Program.

Tour Plus for Schools

Art & SOL Enrichment Field Trips
Call about our newly revised Tour Plus program for spring.
 
Tourplus is a two-hour adventure which includes a gallery tour plus an art activity for ages 4 to 18. Third and Fourth graders have the option of choosing an activity designed to incorporate Virginia Standards of Learning. Contact the education department for more information.

VanGogh Outreach

Van Gogh Outreach takes the art room directly into the second grade public school classroom four times a year with SOL-based lessons and an emphasis on the visual arts using the study of China, Egypt and Native American Indians. Classes are 90 minutes in length with a 30-minute lecture and a 60-minute art project.
